About this place
Kamukura’s Oishii Ramen is an option for anyone looking for something other than a rich, heavy bowl. Diners have described the version at Dotombori Kamukura Ichigayahachimancho as a light soy-sauce ramen, with the sweetness of cabbage coming through in the soup. The cabbage adds a pleasing contrast to the noodles, and the bowl can be enjoyed with its pork and chashu. One diner also found the serving generous in its large bowl; starting with the classic Oishii Ramen seems a good way to get a feel for it.
For a change in flavour, try adding some of the table-side nira chives. One diner said that even a little changed the impression of the soup, so you can first taste the ramen as it is and then adjust to your preference. The menu also includes seasoned-egg ramen, vegetable-packed ramen, green-onion kimchi ramen and konjac ramen. You can customise a bowl with toppings too, choosing from options such as seasoned egg, green onion and bean sprouts.
Add grilled gyoza or karaage as a side, or choose a set that comes with rice. One diner who ordered a ramen and karaage set in the evening recalled that the cabbage-filled bowl made for a satisfying meal. There is also a set with half-size fried rice. Fried rice has received mixed feedback for its moist texture, so you can build your meal around the ramen and decide between gyoza, karaage or a small serving of fried rice.
With counter seating, the Ichigayahachimancho branch also suits a meal on your own. Dining is available in the restaurant, where you can enjoy the cabbage ramen freshly served.
